- Spirited discussion titled “Are Creatives Creative Enough” by Brian Crooks of MRM/McCann.
Through the ASTRA Awards, NJ CAMA recognizes the top tier of the region’s marketing and communications work. This work runs the gamut from print and web design to broadcast and social media to envelope-pushing marketing and public relations.
The evening’s guest speaker, Brian Crooks, will examine if the tried and true processes employed by many creatives are up to the task of today’s deliverables. He’ll also look at some different approaches and tools that may help struggling creatives. This is not a lecture and attendees are encouraged to be ready to participate in a lively discussion. Crooks is currently working on a range of clients for MRM // McCann in Princeton, NJ. Before coming to MRM Crooks most recently worked with Influence Interactive, Singularity Design, Communications Media, and Here’s My Chance in a variety of consulting roles. Crooks has a broad background in visual design and creative services and over 20 years of experience. He has worked at leading general agencies such as Y&R, Grey Advertising, and Mezzina Brown. He has been the lead creative in a diverse range of clients and media that include digital, broadcast, print, direct mail, out of home, and point of sale. His clients have included Camel Cigarettes, Harper Collins publishers, Chandris Cruise Lines, and American Movie Classics among others.
